Episode #4 DaeHeukSanDo
Saturday we catched the train to the Mokpo City, and gotted a ferry to HeuksanDo, we started by downing 2 beers we got at the terminal ,on the ferry (tall beers) and bought a small one on the ferry each.
The ferry was super smooth, and seemed to go bye like that(click fingers here)- (2hrs) , we got off the ferry and Cari said,”Theres a cooler”, so we went and bought 3 more beers and sat there and drank while an old guy got closer and closer to Cari, until we were too loud and he moved.
We walked around, wondering where Shinae(downtown) was,(there wasnt one) or at least a beach, , walking around the very few streets; we came across a Mart and bought ourselves 6 beers each. These we took with us to the “Beach Hotel” which -we taxied too, and ended up NOT staying at - walking back to town from ”drinking our sixpacks”stopping half way up the first hill we had to walk up – at a bus stop, catching a ride back to town with a bus driver we gave beer too(see flicker for a shot of him with a beer on his head) and arriving back in town to find a room where we downed our sixpacks, and made our way to a chicken HOF where we at a little bit of chicken , and drank another pint.
After the chickenHOF (once we played One Frog Jumped over A pond Plop -for about an hour -well it felt like that long), we stumbled round outside finding more entertainment, went to an ATM – i blanked out here, and regained memory about 10 minutes later when we went to a Hae Jang Guk restaraunt -which served us;what looked liked used bones , sure the broth was ok, but the bones were nigh-on meatless. we each had a tall bottle of beer here and left a bit angry at the really bad food.
we stood around outside for about 15 minutes, got another 1.8litres of booze and made our way back to the hotel room.
we listened to music for about an hour, maybe more maybe less, and all five of us passed out only to be constantly woken up by bells ringing, people working, odd sewerage smells, and uncomfortable pillows filled with macaroni.
The next day we took a tour of the island – seeing the windiest road ever, a secluded awesome beach, cool little villages, and ate berries the tourguide stopped to pick for us half way round. Then, made our way home about 2 hours later. train home was slower, but we ended the weekend in the usual style of pizza/photoexchange/ and a quiet few.
Another Good Weekend, photos will be up soon enough.
Nige – Out!
